Over twenty-five years ago Darrell and Anna Harnage chose Astor, Florida as their home.  They had grown to love the beauty, tranquility, and people of Astor from many earlier family trips to the area.

In the fall of 1984 they opened Darrell's Marine Sales & Service (formerly known as Astor Tackle & Marine), and the rest is history.

With a guiding philosophy of treating their customers as family and friends, they built one of the largest pontoon dealerships in Central Florida.

The business was built on the founding principles of integrity, honesty, fairness, and caring for their customers.

Word spread well beyond their little community, and Darrell found himself selling boats nationwide as a result of word of mouth and referrals from so many pleased customers/friends.

They also immersed themselves in the community they so loved and became pillars of the Astor community.

Suddenly and sadly, Darrell was called home to his Lord on March 29th, 2009.  His many, many friends, admirers, community and family will sorely miss him.

As surely as he is spreading his joy, goodwill, and sense of humor in his new home, his legacy lives on through the enterprise he and Anna so caringly built in Astor.

Anna and Darrell's daughter, Christina, have decided that Darrell's Marine will live on in tribute and memory to honor the exceptional person we all knew as Darrell.  The founding principles are the cornerstone and the keepsake that has been promised in his memory.
